When I first graduated with my bachelor’s degree it took me a while to break in to the field, despite a long internship. I worked with the county library that cycled books faster than mail at a post office. Besides the normal responsibilities, the branch manager utilized my desire and skill set. I worked regularly with adult education programs on local history to teaching seniors internet basics. Hey it was the 90’s.
Below are my accomplishments.
Library Associate II, Southwest County Regional Library. Direct patron related services. Collection management, inter-branch and inter-library collection applications. Collection care and storage. Designed and implemented adult education programs on Florida History. Instructed weekly classes for senior citizens on basic and advanced internet training.
